🇦🇺 Preparing for Australia / Vorbereitungen auf Australien

since our 2 month Bali stay comes to an end mid of next week we already start to prepare for our next Stop.
Our all time favorite Travel Country: Australia!!

Da unser 2-monatiger Bali-Aufenthalt Mitte nächster Woche zu Ende geht, bereiteten wir uns bereits auf unseren nächsten Stop vor.
Unser absolutes Lieblingsreise-Land: Australien!!
So this year it will be our third time to travel through this beautiful Country which we learned to love from the first second we´ve been there. As most of you might know, with every journey you learn something about it.
This time we already knew what we can arrange before we even step into the country. So we actually managed to buy a car without ever being there. The only thing you will need for that, is a good friend over there you totally trust and who is a mechanic. And we´re so lucky that we know one of these guys.
So now we´re the proud owners of a 1993 Mitsubishi Magna Stationwaggon which will cost us only 1.600 Australian Dollar Transportar.
And there is even still Registration till end of March on it which means the only thing we´ve to do is going to the DoT (Departement of Transport) and transfer it into our name.
In diesem Jahr werden wir zum dritten Mal durch dieses wunderschöne Land reisen, das wir von der ersten Sekunde an lieben gelernt haben. Wie die meisten von euch vielleicht wissen, lernt man bei jeder Reise etwas dazu.
Dieses Mal wussten wir bereits, was wir arrangieren können, bevor wir überhaupt das Land betreten. So haben wir es doch tatsächlich geschafft uns schon ein Auto zu kaufen ohne überhaupt vor Ort zu sein. Das einzige, was du dafür brauchst, ist ein guter Freund, dem du völlig vertraust und der ein Mechaniker ist. Und wir haben Glück, dass wir einen dieser Typen kennen.
Jetzt sind wir die stolzen Besitzer eines 1993 Mitsubishi Magna Kombi, der uns nur ca. 1.100 australische Dollar kosten wird.
Und es ist sogar noch bis Ende März Registriert, was bedeutet, dass wir nur noch zum DoT (Department of Transport) gehen und es in unseren Namen übertragen müssen.
The first view days we will spend at another friends house in Maroochydore at the beautiful Sunshine Coast.
House and Petsitting is one of our biggest hobbies and also a good money saver on our travels. We could already arrange a Housesit in Buderim which is also on the Sunshine Coast and not far from all our friends. We will be sitting two dogs for about 3 weeks over Christmas.
However, since this is the only Housesit we got so far, we´re planing to start of with a little camping trip down the Coast till Byron Bay in November. We´ve already been there and its really a cool place with nice beaches for surfing and swimming, cute little cafes and a really good vibe.
Die ersten Tage verbringen wir in einem anderen Haus eines anderen Freundes in Maroochydore an der wunderschönen Sunshine Coast.
House and Petsitting ist eines unserer größten Hobbys und auch ein guter Weg Geld zu sparen auf Reisen. Wir konnten bereits ein Housesit in Buderim arrangieren, was ebenfalls an der Sunshine Coast liegt und nicht weit von all unseren Freunden entfernt ist. Wir werden über Weihnachten ca. 3 Wochen auf 2 Hunde aufpassen.
Da dies jedoch der einzige Housesit ist, den wir bisher bekommen haben, planen wir im November einen kleinen Campingausflug die Küste runter bis Byron Bay. Wir waren schon dort und es ist wirklich ein cooler Ort mit schönen Stränden zum Surfen und Schwimmen, niedlichen kleinen Cafés und einer wirklich guten Atmosphäre.

Ohhh ich vermisse Australien jetzt schon. Bin seit nem guten Monat zurück in Deutschland... Das Wetter, die Leute und die australische Lebensweise (gerade an der Sunshine Coast) sind ansteckend. Ich war ebenfalls in Maroochydore und auch in Byron Bay. Hoffe es wird euch nicht zu warm jetzt im Sommer dort :) Viel Spaß
Hi @moritzsch. vielen dank. ja, alles zwischen Noosa und Byron ist echt wunderschön. Aber auch danach wird es nicht Wirklich hässlich. Südlich von Sydney, Hyams Beach als Beispiel....ein Traum! Denke das packen wir, sind seit 2 Monaten auf Bali und die Hitze gewohnt.
