Carnivals 2018 - Windward

This week apart from being the week of love here in Venezuela were held, days of joy and celebration, in CARNIVALS We can enjoy comparsas, dances, floats, bands, masks, costumes and a multitude of joyful people celebrating in a unique way in every Region, this long weekend of carnivals I decided to go out to travel Venezuela with an intention to reach the carnivals of the Orient, to enjoy the customs of the people and live the excitement of the moment.

In Venezuela parade in the carnival season in the Central and eastern states, during the trip I was able to enjoy the joy of the people in disguise, of their emotion and their celebration, of the children who enjoy the most disfrarzarse, of the dances and the Music, drums and samba, an unforgettable celebration.

These photos I took in the state Miranda in a coastal region called Chico River in the famous Windward region cradle of the rhythm, the drum and the cocoa of my land.

The history of the carnival goes back to the times of the colony

The carnival consisted of rough games whose weapon was water, dust and other substances. In addition, street dances were performed in which men and women shared gestures considered amoral. In the eighteenth century the bishop of Caracas Diez Madroñero, converted the carnival into three days of prayers, rosaries and processions. Years later the Intendant José Abalos returned its original meaning and resumed the carnival, but with refined elements. Groups, floats and candies were included for the families who went to the streets to witness the parade. and attempted to eliminate the violent games of yesteryear.

The celebration of the carnival in Venezuela was made tradition, even had its peculiarities according to the rulers of the moment. For some the majesty of the time of Guzmán Blanco, for others the solemnity and modesty in time of Gómez, and for many are unforgettable the carnivals of the fifties of the twentieth century, during the mode of Pérez Jiménez. Parades, private dances and the popular bold, marked the modernization of the carnival in our country.

The Carnival in Venezuela is currently held in the regions: Carúpano and Cumaná (Sucre); Maturin, Anzoátegui (one of the most colorful); Puerto Cabello and the whole state of Carabobo; Coro (Falcón); Barquisimeto (Lara); Mérida, which celebrates the famous bullfighting Carnival of America during the fairs of the sun; And the best Carnival of Callao (Bolívar), which revolves around the parades of maladies and devils who dance to the rhythm of calypso. A musical expression that was declared intangible Heritage of humanity by UNESCO.

So begins my journey of carnival troupes, which I arrived late because in the Andes where I live had compromises until Saturday and went on a trip on Sunday, a long trip but it was worth it, this is what I could appreciate the carnival on Monday, What do you think?
