Place Cells & Traveling, real food for the brain
Traveling has become easy and such an important part of our modern world. Sometimes I feel many of us became contemporary nomads, always searching for something new to discover. I was blessed with an amazing chance to travel around the world. After every new trip I felt wiser, a step closer to understanding the world a little bit better, feeling more connected to the source, to oneness, to other cultures, feeling more empathy, compassion for the pain of others, understanding better why people act the way they do. Here you can find a pdf file from the Nobel Prize 2014, which was given for the Place Cells and their cognitive processes. Place cells are thought, collectively, to act as a cognitive representation of a specific location in space, known as a cognitive map.
