Croatia #2: Pasjača - the most hidden and mysterious beach of the Adriatic Coast

Welcome to the second post from Croatia! It will show very different part of the country. At the very south end of it is located one of the most amazing beaches of the whole Adriatic Coast. This beautiful beach is called Pasjača. It can be found in a village Popovici, which is located south of Cavtat. I had incredible luck to visit this place 1.5 month ago.

The Pasjača is the number one of my personal ranking of the beaches (yes, I have my own ranking of them). The beach is very hard to access in many means. First of all, it is very hard to find it even with the Google Maps app. However, if you will already find the location, there is the second obstacle to overcome. The beach is only accessible by taking the long, steep stairs cut into the cliffs. I was totally amazed by this way down. The possibility to take the sunbath under those cliffs is really great. They give a bit of the shadow and coldness during hot days.

The big advantage of the beach is possibility to preserve a piece of privacy there. The elusiveness of this magnificent stretch of coastline makes this isolation possible. Of course self-catering plays an important role at this beach. Restaurants and cafes are as rare as sanitation and sporting activities, with the exception of swimming of course. It actually means that in neighborhood is nothing, but the breathtaking beauty of Pasjača.

The view from the cliff is really stunning! The colors of the sea and plants are so alive and intense. The way down is partially made out of the cliff (like the stairs visible on the photo above). It is actually not too safe and stable, but apparently the whole concept works and doesn't stop the people from getting down.

Pictures present the low density of the visitors. Like on the Croatian's beach it is really low amount of people.
