A week in Rome: 2

I always feel people who live in an ancient city like Rome are so privileged especially when talking about the day to day stuff that we do in city life. I have a friend, Sonia Scarcelli, she lives in Rome. Like many health conscious ladies, she loves to run; like my wife. But while my wife does it in Rice University trail; Sonia does it at Circus Maximus where in the movie Ben Hur (1959), they did the famous Chariot racing. For an evening walk or to play with kids on a plaza; we go to say Rice Village shopping area; while Sonia goes to Villa Borghese looking down on Piazza del Popolo with all its glory in the setting sun; I say it is very unfair Sonia :)

But that said, for that one glorious week in Rome, I did get to do at least some of it that Sonia does every day. I even went to Piazza San Pietro and waved at the Pope from 100 ft away! I am sure the kind man saw me :)

Hey, I even became a pure tourist and visited the Colosseum. Do it man, even with loads of tourists with their selfie stick and camera gear it is still an amazing place!

People call Rome the Eternal City! Hey I agree!
