If you are visiting VENICE, ITALY you have to see this!
A good 40 minutes from Venice if you are going by car is a scenic small city Lido di Jesolo which may remind you of those beautiful sandy beaches in Spain, Greece or Turkey, but beaches like this are actually a common occurrence also in Italy. At first I did not know better so such a beach near Venice was a huge surprise for me.

Swimming in such a place is wonderful as long as you arrive to Lido early in the day and plan to leave around 15.00-15.30 as the water usually gets less clear and it is not as enjoyable. The temperature of the water is pleasantly warm so it is perfect for those who do not like freezing cold water.

The perfect day itinerary to visit Lido di Jesolo is to rent a deckchair and an umbrella on the beach and enjoy your time on the beach until 15.00-15.30 because of previously noted reasons, later take a walk around the quaint city center. Later you can go shopping to the Designer Outlet Noventa di Piave, or go further down the coast to Cavallino.
