LERICI : Story and Photos of a Poetic Seaside Village in Italy
Dear Steemians!
Today I want to share with you a few words (and related photos of course!) about LERICI.
Perhaps Italian members is thinking in their past memories now, but not even all of them know what I'm going to describe.
In fact, Italy is full of unfamiliar places, never even visited by the Italians, even if they arise just a few hundred kilometers away, but at the same time these places are incredibly loved by foreigners.
LERICI is a right example of what I've written before. As it is happening in other Italian locations like Forte dei Marmi in Tuscany, or in the Chianti zone many foreign rich people (especially Russian, English and American) bought apartments, land, facilities, cottages or farmhouses. The landscape offered is better than elsewhere, food and wine are the best, the sea is beautiful, mountains are not so far away, big cities are close. What could be better?
Well, LERICI is a small town overlooking the sea, situated in the region of Liguria, at its right end on the edge with Tuscany.
LERICI and the nearby village Tellaro are among "the most beautiful villages in Italy", an Italian association that wants to protect historically and artistically important places.
Numerous small colorful houses, narrow streets without cars, churches, typical restaurants and shops, climbs more or less steep, boats, fisherman and fish crates freshly caught, lastly a castle...it is all you can find in Lerici.
I have been in Lerici in winter...during a warm and sunny week end! There was not many people, and I could enjoy the landscape and the village as I wanted!
I hope you appreciate the photos below.
