Boat Crossing

Day of the week of July 9, 2017 I traveled from Banda Aceh to Lhokseumawe on a motorbike, a trip I traveled distance is not too far, just along the 277 KM.

I left at 11:00 am from Banda Aceh, at precisely 17 pm I arrived at Kuta Blang Bireuen. Bridge at Jalan Lintas Sumatera has been dismantled, because the sloping wooden beams hit brought flooding. Now the bridge is in the process of development.

To pass across the river, vehicles must pass through an alternative road, the road is relatively long, the road is narrow and not good, of course, takes a relatively long time.

For motorcyclist like me, there is provided a boat crossing (ketek). You just pay Rp. 5000 for each vehicle, while for free passengers. Climbing ketek cuts significantly time, crossing time is only two to five minutes.
