Eastern Croatia - A Gem Often Missed By Visitors
As an expat living in Vukovar, a small town of some 20,000 people, I am often asked why here!! Apart from taking care of my daughter, I can tell you there is nothing like being able to walk along the River Danube every day. The ability to blend and mix with the locals and truly enjoying the cultures and traditions of the region, is really good for the soul. After 3 years of being permanently here, I am able to fully appreciate the way the town has transformed. The only down side, is the lack of opportunities for the young, who are leaving to find life opportunities outside of the region, and in most cases the country.
