I'm an exchange student at BFSU (Beijing Foreign Studies University). When I first heard about this Extended-family Program I didn't really know anything about it but I just applied for it. At the beginning, I had no expectation about that program and even when the family contacted me for the first time I had mixed feelings. But it has been the best decision ever, to take part in this program. The family was really kind from the very beginning and told me that I'm always welcome. We met almost every week and did so many nice things together. They will also visit me in Germany at some time.
Whenever I needed help, they have been there. Whenever I had a question, they gave me a useful answer. Whenever I had a problem, they tried to solve it. Whenever I felt homesick, I was welcome.
This is my Chinese Family and I'm really thankful that I got the possibility to meet them! They are so kind. I really like them and I love to spend time with them!
I've learned so much about Chinese culture from that family. We did so many nice things together, which I'll never forget!!
- Dinner in typical Chinese restaurants (Hotpot, Beijing duck, ...)
- Sightseeing with "personal" Guide (Temple of Heaven, Great Wall, ...)
- School trip to a small village and Mutianyu (with some activities)
- Evenings at their home with friends (get to know the Chinese culture)
I'll really miss this amazing family and the time here in Beijing!
I think that if you get the least support from someone, then you should do one more step for it. Never forget that family.
Ninja is part of this program by the school, and it is very interesting indeed to live with Chinese families =)
The unforgettable experience will be cherished and remembered for a long time
哇,lovely family!
