I took this photograph some years ago at a small game reserve, Mabalingwe, just outside Warmbaths South Africa. We had been driving in the reserve game watching and late afternoon the skies changed dramatically. The sun was beginning to set and clouds dark clouds starting forming. It became a rather eerie scene with the silhouette of the trees against against the purpling skies. The hope of rain on African soil is always an amazing sight. The air becomes heavy, there's the aroma of grass and soil and animals. Unforgettable.
