Hi steemit friend's how are you? it's a good thinks to start something right now, you know we are still struggling during this pandemic, I'm sure you also have the same hope as me and the rest of the earth's inhabitants, hoping that this covid pandemic will end soon, there's not much we can do right now, never thought about how people out there who lost their jobs, lost clients, lost investors and even those who lost their families during the pandemic, somehow tell all of you that this pandemic is getting worse day by day severe, not only the result of those who are infected but far more complex than that.

But today me and some friends are trying to relieve fatigue from it all, whether it's a pandemic, work and so on. we agreed to go to an uninhabited island "Pulau/Pulo Raya", this island is about a few km from the island of Sumatra, and is in the Aceh Jaya district, to be precise in the Sampoiniet sub-district.

Heading to Raya Island, we use a boat rental service, the boat we rent is actually a fishing boat and for a trip to the island, it costs around 500 thousand rupiah or around USD 37.

I enjoyed this trip, because not necessarily later I can go to the island again, the calm sea atmosphere that afternoon certainly adds to the pleasure of the trip, there is something I forgot to bring on this trip, I forgot to bring fishing equipment, but never mind because this beauty is comparable to which we want.

Let me introduce you to the captain of this ship, he is the head of this island village that we are visiting, while the one who raised his hand and right in front of me was my friend.

The boat slowly left the harbor, and there was only a stretch of water as far as the eye could see and a few other islands ahead.

and finally we are on the high seas to be precise in the Indian Ocean.

After traveling for more than half an hour we finally approached the island we were aiming for

What do we find on the island?
Many fishing houses made of wooden planks are not maintained, shrimp cages, the foundation of the building that has been submerged in seawater and damaged, some building debris and the last one is a monument.

According to the village head of Pulau Raya, this island was once a very active fishing village, has rice fields, schools, health facilities and others that support the activities of the village community, the island is about 3.65km² wide and was destroyed when the disaster occurred in 2004.
The remaining communities were then relocated by the local government to a neighboring village on the main island, and since then Pulau Raya no longer inhabited, the people of Pulau Raya, the majority of whom work as fishermen, only stopped by this island when going to sea, several years ago the people of Pulau Raya received assistance fishermen's houses from the government and these houses were built on this island even though they no longer live on the island but they have a house here. each house has a solar system for energy sources.
We can still find rubble of buildings destroyed by the 2004 tsunami disaster, such as building foundations and building walls that are still on the island, according to Pulau Raya village, this island has lost its coast of about 500 m, there is a possibility that the disaster caused the ground level to drop.

The shrimp and fish cages on the island are also owned by the residents of Pulau Raya village, some of the cages are assistance from the government.

In 2004, a monument was built on Pulau Raya, the monument to the outermost island of Indonesia, thus the name of the monument.

actually there are many videos that I want to share, it's just that because I don't have a good internet network, I'm not excited to upload them, that's all for my travel blog, hopefully the pandemic will pass quickly and we can be like before.
Cheers
Warm hug from Indonesia
