Bustanussalatin Park was once called Taman Ghirah or known Taman Sari. Built by Sultan Iskandar Muda in 1514 AD At his time, Taman Sari without buildings, but a garden full of shady plants that became a place to play the sultan's family.

Taman Sari complex runs along Krueng Daroy; across Gunongan, Pinto Khop, Kandang, Elephant Island, and Masjid Raya. Now the park is a place of recreation of the city residents and venues of organizing interesting events in the city of Banda Aceh.
