Although I am not an expert on Vietnam and in particular on the staircases, however, I am guessing the architecture itself was quite influenced by the French. Except for the first picture, all others looks quite familiar with French ones as I lived in France for several years and traveled a lot. BTW, it is quite interesting subject to pursue! Very creative.
