Blue Temple:

The current Blue Temple in the city of Chian rai opened its doors to visitors in 2016, although some parts of the site are still unfinished.

Inside the temple we find a large image of Buddha, 6.5 meters high, totally white, surrounded by blue murals very different from those used to decorate the interiors of Thai temples. Behind the temple is another figure of Buddha, this time standing.

White Temple:

The White Temple (Wat Rong khun) is very different from the other Buddhist temples we can see in Thailand. Its totally groundbreaking design, the strange figures that decorate it and its immaculate white that represents the purity of Buddha, often arouse the admiration of all who visit it. It was started in 1997 and still does not have a clear date of completion but speculation that in 2070 will be finished.
