#15 : Eltz Castle, Germany

Monumental castle in Germany in the Eifel region. The historic residence of the von Eltz family, known already before 1157. Currently, acting as a stronghold thanks to its picturesque architecture and location is one of the most important tourist attractions in the Rhineland. One of the most important examples of late Gothic secular architecture in Germany. The interior of the castle has survived almost untouched since the Middle Ages, including furniture, decorations, wall paintings and tapestries. The castle's treasury hides a huge number of gold and silver products, as well as weapons and armor.
