Hamburg Rathaus - fragments of interior

Hello friends! In many cities city hall is one of the most beautiful buildings. It can be richly decorated with fretworks or be absolutely minimalistic. Hamburg's City Hall is big and elegant at the same time. You will be impressed by it's size!
When you enter this sightly building, you will be surprised by its design. It's pompous and posh; it has 647 rooms (I had no chance to see all of them:)) and they are ornately decorated with wood, marble, gilding and paintings.

The building is relatively new (the previous city hall was burnt down in the great fire), but it doesn't look like a modern building. Many curious tourists want to visit this place. You can join the tour with a guide, he or she will tell you a lot of interesting facts about the history of the City Hall. It is allowed to visit the City Hall during the daytime.
