The traveler sees what he sees, the tourist sees what he has come to see. (Gilbert K. Chesterton)

Once again I would like to come with a quote dealing with the art of traveling and having the mindset and the eye of a traveler. Because, just like Mr. Chesterton is saying in this quote, a tourist is traveling to Budapest to watch the Gellert Hill, the Parliament, and to enjoy a river cruise on the Danube. Some of them might come to visit cool restaurants like Sir Lancelot and Pampas Steakhouse, while others are there to taste some delicious Tokaj wine. But, do you know what is special about the mindset of a traveler?

A tourist will see what he has come to see, but the traveler is one who simply keeps his eyes open at all times, and thus, he will see much more, whenever he goes somewhere and wherever he might be.

So many might complain about the fact that they are unable to travel due to lack of money. Well, that is for sure unfortunate, but don't despair. Have the mindset of a traveler and open your eyes at your current location. Why don't you look at the trees surrounding you and start to learn more about them? Maybe you can see something at a building that you haven't noticed before? Or maybe there is an area somewhere nearby that you can even approach on foot that you haven't really discovered before? The world is packed with opportunities, so don't come up with excuses... instead, start taking advantage of the opportunities that lie ahead of you.

The traveler sees what he sees, the tourist sees what he has come to see. (Gilbert K. Chesterton)

What have you seen today or experience today that has made the day special?
