Gold Strike Hot Springs, Hiking Trail, Las Vegas, NV (3 people have died on this trail! part 1)
This is my favorite tail in Las Vegas! If you decided to do this trail bring plenty of water and proper shoes. The trail is tough and involves scaling 15ft to 25 ft drops, that on the return you will have to climb back up! There is no other way in or out. The trail is a little over 3 miles to the Colorado River. The reward is worth it though!
If you make it to the river you will be able to look up at the Hoover Dam!
The first 30 mins of the trek is also very easy, so don't be fooled!
Can you spot the lizard?

I have done this trail 3 times and still no clue how this car got here!
Or this other one...
The first challenging climb.

Once you start you you have no choice but to follow the narrow winding path or give up and go back!

One more climb with a rope before the first hot spring!
The first hot spring, while I have seen other people enjoy it, I never stop here. The first hot spring is nothing compared to the 2nd half of the trail and the other hot springs!
Part 2 will be out tomorrow with the majority of my favorite pictures from this trek.
I hope you enjoyed the first half! Thanks for your time, upvote, resteem and follow!

Thank you for the support!
Ooh this is so awesome, thanks for sharing!
I know how the car got there (atleast one of them). Have you seen the first new Star Trek movie, in which a young captain Kirk drives a car off a cliff? That's it!
Brilliant, I know.
So awesome! Last October, I went on a canoe trip starting from Hoover Dam, and we visited this hotspring. Absolutely wonderful spot. You are one intrepid hiker to take the canyon trail to it! I took the lazy person, life is but a dream, water route. I just shared a pic from that trip today on my blog, "All Things Are Sacred". Thanks for your fantastic shots
So much better to take flashlights with you and do not at night. The hike back out was pretty hot and I can see how people can die.
The search and rescue people had used my car to tie down this canopy and piled a ton of gear on it. Pretty surprised when I walk up and unlock it.
Amazing trip. I'm glad I went and thank you. Gonna follow you! Awesome pictures
