“Zaanse Schans” at Zaanstad (Neitherlands)
Hey Everyone,
Today I would like to share my trip to Zaanstad. The most mesmerizing and peaceful place I have ever been to. It only takes 40 mins to reach there from Amsterdam central station, if you are travelling by Bus.
This place is surrounded by windmills and known as Zaanstad. But the interesting thing is that there is one windmill known as De Kat is the only operational windmill remaining in the entire world. It was constructed back there in 1646 as an oil mill and it’s still working.
I got to know about this iconic Dutch tradition of cheese making. They give you a detailed demonstration of cheese making process carried out by well dressed staff at Catharina Hoeve cheese farm.
On my way back, i was lucky enough to take this shot :)
