Bangalore, The Silicon Valley of India- #SMARTCITIES. Why should you tour India IV !
LaSalle Investment Management, one of the world's top five real estate investors and a unit of Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), has confirmed Bangalore to be the most progressive and dynamic city in its fourth annual City Momentum Index of cities around the world, followed by Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam and Silicon Valley in the U.S.
A view from a terrace bar.
A press release by Jones Lang LaSalle stated that the most dynamic cities are the ones that share the ability to embrace tech changes, absorb rapid population growth and has ability to strengthen global connectivity!

With that being said let me tell you Bangalore is one of the most multicultural societies in India! We are receptive to change, no, we are receptive to change at a rapid pace! We have suffered because of it and we have grown because of it! We are sad that we are somehow not able to take the whole of Bangalore's local population along with us as we grow but I am sure they will cope up with some assistance!

And you know what the funny part is; more than half of the people in Bangalore are not from there! I call Bangalore my city, I relocated myself to Bangalore in 2004 ending if I remember right; but I feel very much like I am from there. It's like nothing is bothering me, me and my family are having a quite life there.
World Trade Centre, Bangalore.
Though since 3 and half years I been living in Bahrain visiting the city to and fro like any other expat, I don't feel connected to this place, Bangalore is home! I don't get that at home feeling anywhere else! You will find that the majority of people in the city are from other parts of India and they don't even speak the local language! More or less everyone speaks English in their day to day life; unless necessary to speak any other language! Most of the work places have a strict English only rule, that is because of the multiculturalism, an Indian from one part of the country doesn't have a common language with one from the other part!
UB city, Indeed a fancy city inside the city!
You will come across a lot of foreigners especially few from EU and some from English speaking countries mainly working in IT sector and others mostly students from African countries like Sudan, Nigeria and Tanzania and also a few hippies from here and there, haha! You will also find a lot of Arabs mainly from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Yemen and so on who are also mostly students many of whom don't even want to go back to their own countries because of the amount of freedom and acceptance they get here!

In my college days I remember: I had a lot of African and Arab friends than Indians: Man I tell you life was fun back then! I have many friends who are over staying now illegally, hahaha; because they just don't want to go back! While many others go home and keep coming back for visits; no one can just abandon that place forever and go, it just does not happen!
If you stay in Bangalore for over 5-6 years and understand mostly the necessary much about the city, you are pretty likely a Banglorean! That's how open the mentality is and that's how receptive the city is!
There have been some isolated incidents recently in the city against some nationalities that has been a result of some misunderstandings and a follow up of an idiocracy done by a foreign national and trust me we as a city have been ashamed of that and I am sure every Banglorean is on a look out to avoid such circumstances that defame the city!
A tech park in Bangalore.
This new order of life started with the IT boom! Bangalore, the Silicon Valley of India opened its doors and became the dream destination of working professionals from across the country. The industrial boom followed by the IT boom turned the city into a mecca of job opportunities. People who came in search of the “Gold Rush” not only realized their dreams but also enjoyed the weather, the culture, the development and the quality of life and decided to settle in this city.

A lot of opportunities opened up the Outsourcing sector also! Many major firms especially telecom and finance, from US, Canada, UK & Australia outsourced everything to India. Life became nuts! It really did become so, people are awake in the nights and sleeping during the days! Life became all about twinkling lights and high rise buildings and full serviced tech-parks! Damn; trust me, that was a life!
Normal houses.
I miss being able to work in my city, I can't work there anymore! The city became too expensive after the IT boom; the salaries are not enough; the companies are making hell lot but salaried people can't live with the climbing expenditure! I am not saying people are not living there now, I am just saying, I can't restrict myself and live, again not that I am living better now, f**k it, y'all know how live is!

If you get to visit India any time soon or if you are from India and never been to Bangalore,go visit the city, its amazing!
