Arkaim is a magical place in Russia.

The most ancient city of Arkaim is located in the Chelyabinsk region, located on the cape, 8 kilometers north of the Amur settlement of the Bredinsky district and 2 kilometers south-east of the village of Alexandrovsky Kizilsky district, Chelyabinsk region.

And is a true mystery of the history of mankind. The discovery of this unique ancient city was made by only two scientists who were sent to the standard task.

The diameter of the city or, or the settlement of Arkaim, is only about one hundred and seventy meters. By modern standards this is not much, but if you consider that these structures were built at least four thousand years ago - you can not help but be surprised by the details.

The city of Arkaim is surrounded by two walls, inside of which are apartment buildings. A moat with water, a mean depth of two meters, was laid around the city to protect against an external enemy. The outer wall, which has four entrances, at a height of 5.5 meters, had a thickness of almost five meters. In the center was the square. In the city, people lived and worked, while animals grazed outside the walls and climbed inside only in case of extreme need.

The inner seven-meter wall had a thickness of 3 meters and had only one entrance. To get to the central part of the city, it was necessary to pass along the entire length of the ring street.
