One of the most famous sights of Prague

St. Vitus Cathedral, Prague. It is located on the territory of Prague Castle. This is indeed the most prominent sight of Prague - the high domes are visible from the opposite bank of the Vltava River and rise above the Prague Castle. I did not immediately realize that this is a religious building, it's very strange dark domes of incomprehensible shape with a lot of details. The height of the tower-domes varies from 82m to 124m. As it turned out after - it is, we might say, a "classical" Gothic Catholic cathedral. Before it can and should be reached on foot from the Old Town Square through the Charles Bridge. Again, this is the most prominent building of the Prague Castle and its surroundings, and it's not just on a scale - the cathedral takes all the attention - believe it or not, but I can remember nothing more from the Prague Castle, except that the panoramic view from the walls to Prague with its red Roofs.

The cathedral was built in several stages. The beginning of construction is the middle of the 14th century. It does not fit in my head, how could I create such a work of art (I do not speak about religion in general)? Hundreds, thousands of small details from the base to the tops of the towers, without the clock itself did not happen, especially the gargoyles stand out))) Do not betray the words - look at my photos.

Then the inner space. High Gothic arches, huge colored stained-glass windows, mysterious twilight - from all this the cathedral from the inside seems even more than outside.
