Charm of Old Houses of Famous People: Visit of Prishvin's (Famous Russian writer) Country House
Last weekend we visited a charming and quiet country house, (dacha in Russian) of a famous Russian writer Mikhail Prishvin (1873—1954) . He is very famous with his books about nature. And by coincidence I was reading his books to my daughter before our trip to his dacha. His stories were written with amazing and very beautiful language. He was called a singer of nature. He knew and felt nature and animals as nobody else. He was the the one thing with them.
In 1946 the writer bought a little house in the village Dunino in Moscow region and lived there during summers from 1946 to 1953.
I always loved the atmosphere of such houses. They are full of warm and simple things which make spirit of the house and you want to stay there as long as possible.
We had an excursion during which we heard a life and love story of Prishvin. I was impressed with his love story and even bought a book about it. As soon as I read I will share it with you.
After the excursion kids had shadow theatre. The play was based on the book "Fox bread" by Prishvin.
After visiting a house - museum we had picnic and football.))) It was a fantastic day!
Always yours, @aksinya.
