Beautiful landscape of Pauri Garhwal.
Uttarakhand is a Himalayan state of India. Most of the part of this state lies in the Himalaya, the largest mountain chain in this world.
Pauri Garhwal is a southern district of Uttarakhand which is located partly in the Gangetic plain and partly in the northern Himalayas which is also known as Shivalik range. This district is bestowed with beautiful hills, deep ravines, some flat and many deep valleys and dark forests.
Weather remains pleasant in summer and cool in winter. However, southern part of it faces extreme heat in summers. Temperature can go above 40 degree Celsius in these parts.
In the southern part of Pauri district world famous Jim Corbett National Park is situated. Jim Corbett was a hunter during British rule in India who killed many 'maneaters' during that time. Later he turned into an environmental conservationists and worked for wildlife protection.
I visited Jim Corbett National Park and took photos of nearby villages. Beautiful scenery of those villages attracted me a lot. Here I am sharing some photos with you.
