Abolitionist Abstractions Vlog 67: Van Nomads crossing paths in the night
Here is today's vlog! After the last recording from the UP, Murder Dog and I got a delicious breakfast from our friend Lou and then headed off for one more exploration hike. We ended up hiking for at least 5 miles or so, with Murder Dog leading the charge most of the way (she really loves being in the woods). By the end we were all a little beat and it was time to hit the road again.
On our way out of the UP, I received a message from one of our other van nomad friends, @wanderingagorist, which said that he would be camping somewhat near our intended destination. Murder Dog and I quickly changed course and headed off to meet him in the Dunes Wilderness of Michigan. We unfortunately got there rather late, scared the pants of our friend when we arrived (he misread my last message), and managed only a couple of hours of sleep in the Element before morning. It was raining when we got up (surprise, surprise), but we got to hang out for a few hours, chill down at the beach for a bit, and catch up on our van nomading experiences. It's always great to spend some time with others leading this lifestyle!
Murder Dog and I did eventually have to leave, as we did have plans to be farther south. We left our friend somewhere around noon and made our way down to NW Indiana. We got to our friends Mandy and Matt's house down here, had some yummy barbecue for dinner, drank a few beers, and then passed out early as the lack of sleep finally caught up with me. All in all it was another good day, and I even got to sleep in a bed yet again. If I'm not careful, I might start getting spoiled!

It was great seeing you again. Wish you had more time to hang out. I don't get to socialize much and would rather be with a fellow voluntaryist. I put up a vlog about your visit on my channel.
