Finland, Norway! Look how beautiful!

So it's time to go. In Finland and Norway, you need to drive more than 1000 kilometers to the city of Tromsø. They say it is the capital of the northern lights. Shine I have never seen, so we will catch it along the way. And at the same time, you must go to the North Cape, the northernmost point of Europe. In fact, it is not the northernmost, but I will tell you about this when I get there. What do you think the Norwegians do not cheat?

One thing is frustrating - this year the winter will not start at all. At the same time, the north - the warmer. If there is snow in some places on the mainland, then along the coast in the north, because of the warm currents, there is still a real cold autumn without a hint of winter.

I wake up in a beautiful Finnish forest. How is it probably wonderful when a person leaves for such a house for a week and rests. Squirrels, hedgehogs, fresh air. It is a pity, I can not understand this. More than a day in such places can not tolerate.

A large house with two bedrooms, a fireplace and a sauna costs $ 260 per day. A separate sauna with a wood-burning stove directly on the lakeside rely on it! I drowned the bath and realized that the ice was already 15 centimeters, and the hole could not be made without special equipment.

Trash in Finland is being monitored. Trash cans are underground everywhere, special cars drive through the villages

03.jpg

Even in a small village here they know how to make pedestrian crossings - competent lighting, an island of safety. Even in the cities we have not yet learned how to do it, but keep quiet about the villages.

In Finland, cleanliness has always surprised. There is no garbage and cans in the clear water; in the forest you will not find any napkins or packages. Just perfect cleanliness everywhere.

Cute island

And someone lives on it. This is certainly the perfect place for privacy.

The farther north, the more snow.

We move the border with Norway. There are several gas stations on the border at once - in Norway, gasoline is more expensive than in Finland.

23.jpg

At some point, this is a real fabulous winter
24.jpg

On the side of the herd of deer. Deer are shy. For all the time I have not seen a single deer on the road, although in the spring, when I was driving around these places, there were a lot of deer

25.jpg

The owners sign their deer with paint. Where do animal advocates look? But what about the skin?

26.jpg

Perfect parking along the road. Beautiful and clean toilet, trash bins, cleanliness.

It’s not so easy to find food in these places, so I usually buy a one-time grill for 3 euros and fish in the shops. You stop at any parking along the road, and there are many of these, you start the grill and after 10 minutes a delicious lunch is ready. Tell me, what could be better than a piece of Norwegian salmon on the grill in such decorations? Yes, for a dinner all you can give. Sorry, I'm driving and you can not pamper yourself with a glass of wine.

This is the building of the Parliament of the Sami Parliament of Norway in Karasjok. See how interesting the building is! So you understand, it is located in a deep Norwegian province.

32.jpg

It is surrounded by forest, heather and mosses. The facade is trimmed with burnt wood, just like in Japan. It looks very beautiful.

33.jpg

The authors of the project are Oslo Architects Stein Halvorsen and Christian Sandby. Built a building in 2000! That is, he is already 18 years old, and it still looks amazing. Moreover, it won national architectural awards twice and was mentioned in publications such as Architectural Review, Deutsche Bauzeitchrift and Wallpaper.

34.jpg

From the architectural point of view, the Parliament Building itself is very interesting. In the external decoration used Siberian larch. This material will change its appearance over time, which will give the building a significant resemblance to the traditional architecture of the region. Untreated pine used in the interior creates a warm and cozy atmosphere.

35.jpg

Inside there is a large public library. Free admission. You can sit to work. Nobody forbids shooting, by the way! Do you have such libraries in your village? ;)

Hall with fireplace.

But we must go further. According to the Norwegians, the northernmost point of Europe is located on the island of Magyor! Yes, here is the first deception. Formally, this is not continental Europe already, but one of the islands. Every year, according to the local municipality, about 250,000 tourists visit the cape on the island

An underwater tunnel with a length of almost 4.5 miles leads to the island! Very beautiful.

41.jpg

The fishing town of Honningsvåg is one of the closest to the cape. Here you can spend the night and eat crabs.

42.jpg

As you can see, winter has not reached these places yet.

В Норвегии повсюду продают крабов. Они их называют Королевскими. В Норвегии крабов ловят повсеместно и нет никаких проблем.
