Back to the future part 33 - My travels - Karst Landscape, Tam Coc, Vietnam
A look back through my travel photos from before Steemit
For you regular followers of my past travels, sorry for the delay, I had to dig out some more photos and take photos of the photos :o)
I should be back to a new photo most days now again.
This photo was taken from a long tail boat as we were rowed through the beautiful karst landscape of Tam Coc in Ninh Binh province in the North of Vietnam.
Dubbed “Halong Bay in land”, this picturesque place can be found around 100 km south of Hanoi.
Hundreds of large imposing limestone cliffs jut from the water, sharing space with the surrounding rice Paddy fields.
If the stunning scenery isn't enough, Ninh Binh is a great opportunity to peep into the rural way of living. It qas nice to gona littlw off the beaten track of Halong Bay and this experience was much more relaxed and chilled out, just like the Vietnam experience should be.
I traveled around South East Asia and Australia back in 2007/2008 with my then girlfriend/now wife.
It was a trip of a lifetime and I loved every minute of it.
