In the wake of the most recent and sensationalized lynchings of our brothers, I encourage people to refrain from sitting on Facebook or the news and be productive with your energy.

The goal of public lynchings is to traumatize and re traumatize the minds of Africans in America and any sympathizers within our communities. 

The aim is to perpetuate fear and hopelessness. 

Especially when the establishment smells insurrection.

The violence is not new, it has been ongoing for centuries; it is the technology that has evolved.

Channel your anger, your hate, your fear and create something beautiful. 

Write a poem. Paint. Sing. Read. Build. Go back to Africa. 

Escape the plantation before the smoke clears.
