RE: Godhood Is Boring: Thoughts on Radical Life Extension

Thanks! Yeah, the whole linear-atomistic thing is really over, but in its wake an even more pernicious cybernetic totalism has reared its head. Even holism is not enough (the whole is not ontologically superior to its parts, even though it's a necessary perspective to maintain).

I'm writing a book-length critique of singulitarian thinking from the perspective of an evolutionary biologist and psychedelic futurist...sooner or later I'll get every essay up on Steemit but for now you can read all public excerpts so far on Medium: http://medium.com/@michaelgarfield

I tend toward the daily practice of Buddhism and meditation, and this whole concept of life extension falls short on many levels when you consider the sheer fact that nature is ultimately entropic. Sure, let's improve things so that we have a LESS BAD quality of life while alive, but don't try to delude ourselves of our limitations. Can't wait to upvote your Medium posts once you get them up here. I am also nudging Swami Hunter Maats to duplicate his blog posts here as well.
