G Scale SD60f Part 5
A G scale SD60f build part 5. This video is a collection of photos showing the progress of a scratch built SD60f. Preliminary electrical work complete. Revolution receiver and battery installed. Lights and sound will be added eventually.
Set up some test track in the house. The smallest curve I have is 7'radius / 14' diameter. There are some restricted clearances in a few spots, but I got it to fit.

Nice, you built that yourself? Very talented and patience of a saint I would guess. That reminds me, there is a route and session in Trainz A New Era, I may have to do that one next. By the way are you a train driver (engineer) in real life or just a railway fan?

Yes, I built it using measurements I collected over the years. I was a locomotive engineer with Canadian National Railway. I retired two years ago.
I used to be part of the Trainz community. (user name-cnr ) I used to build Canadian content and for a time worked with TrainzProRoutes. I lost interest about 10 years ago.
Ah, well I guess once you have been doing the real thing, everything else pales into insignificance in comparison. I got into Trainz in 2004 but then lost interest in all things trains and railways.
I only really got back into trains and Trainz in the last year or two. Each to their own I guess.
