Where are you going to get more aluminum siding to fill the hole left by the window? Or you just going to get a whole new pieces for this trailer's butt?

I have a piece of aluminum that I scrounged up to replace the space left by removing the window. It covers the full area from one side of the trailer to the other.

Ahh, okay, took me a second to see what you where headed towards there. Cool. Fun learning always with the shot by shot.

Thanks!
Yeah, it's quite the process when you have to rebuild the back end of one of these trailers.

its looking real good. have you considered dumping the aluminium and using recycled wood as an exterior? would be a cost but maybe worth it so you wouldnt bake as much in the sun.

I have thought about it, but it would make the trailer heavier, and that is a consideration for my towing vehicle. If the side skins were bad, that would be more worth doing, but a wood roof is a lot harder to keep sealed than an aluminum one.

Good idea on not putting a leaky window above your head.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking. :-)

Smart move getting rid of the rear window, it seems like there is plenty of natural light from the side/front windows and the door. I love reading these updates, you aren't messing around and getting it done quick!!!
