Beat a Speeding Ticket Using this Letter Template

Dear (INSERT NAME OF PROSECUTOR/CLERK),

I recently received a speeding ticket when driving along (INSERT ROAD) on (INSERT DATE) at approximately (INSERT TIME).

My license plate number is: (INSERT LICENSE PLATE) and the ticket number issued is: (INSERT TICKET NUMBER)

I strongly believe that this ticket was given to me incorrectly and laser caught the driver that was just before me in a red SUV who was driving very fast but managed to get away, and I instead was pulled over.

I am a very careful driver and in this day and age I honestly find it a bit frightening to drive faster than (INSERT SPEED LIMIT), It is just not worth it with all of the careless drivers on the road. I usually stick to the slow lane, preferring to enjoy the drive and to be completely at ease with my surroundings. I do not believe it was me that was clocked at (INSERT SPEED) speeding. In my years of driving I have always respected and followed the rules of the road, no matter where I have driven.

I firmly believe that the laser was reading the speed of a different car and I would greatly appreciate it if you removed this ticket from my records.
