I repeat, this is the last call for entries. Well, not this post, but I just want to remind everyone who wants to get their entries in, the deadline is at the payout of Day 30. You can still enter on any of the previous days, so don't be shy.
This also serves as the final call for sponsors as well. If you're a kind-hearted Steemian with some SBD to spare, please do consider contributing to the prize pool. Any amount is highly appreciated.
Anyway, so yeah, this is the final daily post I would put up. It's been exhausting, and I'm sure most of you are tired of seeing the orange traffic cone pop up in your feed. Trust me when I say that I'm kind of tired of it as well, and I'm glad that this is over. I will be posting a culmination post soon and the results next week. So stay tuned!

Haha I'm glad that you're dutifully telling me this was done consciously haha! Was that the last post I would ever make on Steemit? Who knows... Do I even know? I don't... I don't know.

I think it's important to follow a different golden rule than the one we're taught. It should not be "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" It should be "do unto others as they want to have done unto them" (with the caveat that you have to take care of yourself)
I don't... I've been racking my brain trying to interpret that but I'm coming up with nothing haha!
No? For example, you want the people you post on to post on yours no matter how much or little they have to say. You even mentioned that you were glad for spammy posts. Now that I understand how much you want that, I'll make an effort to do for you what you want. I don't feel the same way. I hope people enjoy my work, and if they want to engage with me or it, I welcome that. I don't particularly like getting spammy comments. And I don't want anyone to feel like they should comment if they don't feel like there's something THEY want to say. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying our conversations, and sometimes a rule like yours or a different perspective like yours will create conversations that wouldn't have happened organically, so that's all well and good! I just want to meet people where they are.
Perhaps a clearer example of "do unto others as they want to have done unto them" is in physical intimacy. I may want to be kissed by someone, but that doesn't mean that they want to be kissed by me. The original golden rule would have me kiss them... and that would be wrong.
I may want surprise parties to be thrown for me, but if I know someone DOESN'T want a surprise party, I shouldn't throw them one, even though it's what I would want for me.
Haha okay so, from this explanation, I could clearly see that you're totally not getting what I'm talking about. I never obligated anyone to comment on my posts. As I said, if they don't want to, that's fine, I move on. I especially don't want people to make an effort to do that. That only creates resentment, which is something I never asked for.
Also, I never said I liked spam. I said at least spammers left a comment instead of the people who said I should post more often. Those people are connections I cultivated during my year here. It used to be that we had long conversations like this, and then suddenly nothing, which is something that disturbs and puzzles me.
Look, man, I don't know what your beef is or whatever but if you feel like you don't have anything to say on my posts, then don't bother commenting. Our personalities and approaches are just different, let's leave it at that. I'm not quite sure how this blunt confrontational attitude works for you, but personally, I don't really prefer people talking down to me. We should all just respect our differences, I think. I never criticized you for your approach, so I don't think it's fair that you constantly compare mine to yours.

Sure, no worries. I have never been anything but supportive of you in my, arguably, limited comments to your posts. While I never expected anything similar in return, I just didn't expect this kind of banter.

And I'm extremely grateful I stumbled upon people like you who appreciate my work, however few :D I have tons of other word play posts in mind, but I'm having second doubts about publishing it on Steemit haha!

I think I expected too much participation when I tagged it "contest" and "challenge" but it's alright. Can't complain with the participation this received, at least it won't be that hard to pick the winners haha! Your support is a HUGE part of what kept me going with this, dudemeister!! I think people might not have got the contest element. They are used to the, submit something be judged, winner announced kind of thing lol!

Maybe it's the pacing of it all that made me feel a bit gassed. As you know, I'm not very regular when I post, so it was kind of a shock to the system. It was a good exercise though, but I should've warmed up a bit more before I took it on. Glad I was able to get that out of my system. The most I've ever posted by far haha!

To be honest, I'm not really sure haha! It's the same feeling I got after A Day in the Clouds, but I stuck around long enough after that. This time, I don't know... we'll see... We shall see!
The moon looks like an awfully tempting destination right now. Perhaps I shall power down and use the money to fare myself to the moon! OR, this might be a good time to jump ship and become a whale in that other crypto social media that pays BCC. What was that called again? It's so memorable, my elephant-strong memory doesn't even remember it haha!
