The best traditional and modern food to have when your visit algeria

The first dish that I would personally recommend and that would anybody that I know recommend is Couscous mainly because it is famous in all Arab countries. However, the ingredients and the way it is prepared varies greatly from one country to another. In Algeria, it is served with vegetables or fish. It is generally served on Fridays. The Algerian family would have lunch together and usually share the same plate.personally , I have had enough of it lol.Another known dish that competes with "couscous" is "shekhchouka", a dish that best served with chilli.

In America , pancakes are the traditional breakfast food. Well, we have it's equivalent in Algeria , it is called "beghrir". It is somehow similar to the American pancakes as it is served with honey , maple syrups or jam.other than these dishes , Algerians enjoy everyday junk food like pizzas and hamburgers or should I say cheese burgers (ham is forbidden).

To conclude, I would like to say that a tourist wouldn't leave the country unsatisfied as they have a rich menu of traditional foods as well as worldwide known fast foods.
