Weekly Trade Updates - Week 6:

Hi Steemians,

here are my weekly trade updates for Friday May 4th 2018.
If you haven't read my series on recent options trades, you can do it here:

Markets had a huge turnaround today.

/ES (daily 5 min chart)

/NQ (daily 5 min chart)

/VX came in accordingly (daily chart)

Bonds (/ZB daily chart) did absolutely nothing this week, despite the Fed meeting on Wednesday and the jobs number today.
So much for the Fed influencing or even steering the markets.

But Oil (/CL daily chart) had a big move today:

Now let's have a look at our positions:

XLE Short Straddle:

We collected $4.05 on this trade, so we are up 24 cents ($24 per one lot)

IWM Short Strangle:

We collected a credit of $3.25 for this strangle.
So we are up $1.02 ($102 per one lot).

QQQ long Butterfly:

This is a leftover from our BWB, after butterflying it off and locking in a profit of 83 cents.
So we are up on this trade by $1.19 ($119 per one lot) with zero risk (actually we have a guaranteed profit of 83 cents).

QQQ Short Call:
We collected $4.10 on this trade yesterday. Today we took a big hit on this position (down $2.49). But this is just a hedge for our short vega positions. But if QQQ keeps rallying next week, I will sell the 161 put against this position to reduce the short deltas.

TWTR Short Strangle:

We collected $1.63 on this trade, so we are up 11 cents ($11 per one lot).

FB Short Strangle:

We collected $2.42 on this trade, so we are up 62 cents ($62 per one lot).

TLT Short Straddle:

We collected $3.13 on this trade, so we are up 32 cents ($32 per one lot).

GLD Short Strangle:

We collected $1.56 on this trade, so we are up 17 cents ($17 per one lot).

All in all a pretty good week.
