My Journey in the World of Trading
When I started trading, I thought it was just about following a chart and making quick money. But unfortunately, things turned out differently, my friends. I have some points where I need help or advice from those who have managed to handle charts or at least walk away with something from them.
One of my problems, I think, is emotional control, or maybe I just don’t know how to trade properly... Here’s what happened: I opened a demo account and started trading on it, following some YouTube videos. Everything was going well—I was making a profit.
Then, I turned the page and switched to a real account. I deposited a good amount, chose the same currency pair as I did in the demo account, analyzed my chart, did all the calculations, and saw that the market was in a downtrend. From what I knew, I had to follow the trend, not go against it. I did that and closed my trade with a $6 profit as soon as the price started to rise.
I waited to see if it would keep going up or not, but then it dropped again. So, I placed another order. But I don’t know what happened—it spiked up in less than a minute, and I lost the trade.
I placed another order, this time expecting it to go up, but it dropped again. Now, I don’t know what happened or how to tell whether the price is really going up or down. I’m also wondering if the calculations are the same, because in the demo account, I never had losses, but in the real account, I got wiped out in minutes.
So now, I don’t know if the problem is me—maybe I just don’t know how to trade—or if the demo account works differently from the real account.
Can anyone help me understand this situation?
