Whatever happens to the price of Steem, a Steem Dollar will only ever be worth a dollar's worth of Steem.
However people are buying Steem Dollars for twice that on the open market.

You could do.. the catch is that deposits/ withdrawals on Poloniex are suspended at the moment.
Can't you just convert on Steemit?
Converting on Steemit will only give you a dollar's worth of Steem.
Selling on Blocktrades or the Internal market might give you a better return.
However Poloniex (and to a lesser degree Bittrex) are offer crazy rates.

Agreed @nanzo-scoop! That is why I am in it for the long term and invested in the community. Besides the truth is I check out steemit before any other site these days. Cats are bound to catch on!
