The blockchain technology has gained popularity due to the hype about cryptocurrencies which has shaken many startups to launch their own cryptocurrencies even without convincing fundamentals. This trend has emerged because new entrants have been agiler in adopting emerging technologies compared to incumbents who are hampered by legacy systems. However, this competitiveness and this advantage enjoyed by the new players may be short-lived, as no economies of scale are taken into account.

Moving on to today's proposed topic... At present, there is an oversupply of energy in cases of people who have solar energy systems installed. These People try to sell this surplus of energy to earn back some of the costs of purchasing the renewable system or even profit from it.

For this reason, the Project I am going to present you is Peer to peer energy protocol, a blockchain-based trading platform that aims to revolutionize, boost convenience, increase efficiency and lower costs for all parties aspiring to make the transition towards clean energy.

As I said before, Peer to peer energy protocol (P2PEP) (https://p2pep.com/pep/) is a trading platform combined with a utility token to buy / sell this excess supply of solar energy or other renewable energy, which can be done directly from pair to pair, from consumer to consumer.

P2PEP plans to participate in projects aimed at providing clean energy solutions in areas that have a deficient energy infrastructure but many opportunities to produce clean energy.

Using P2PEP, green energy consumers and producers can bypass old and outdated polluting energy and trade green energy as equals with the same ease with which a super trip is achieved.

It also makes it easier for Clean Energy Companies to connect directly with their customers, helping them bypass the limited, polluting and outdated energy industry.
