Let me now dive into today's topic,it is a good idea to first give a definition of Trade.io

In my last post i talked of how to create an account with Trade.io and i also answered all the possible questions you could ask in that post.
In this post i will talk about account verification.You all know where there is massive transfers of money,the company needs to know who exactly is transferring the money.
The process of verification is termed as KYC(Know Your Customer).
Why Do I Need To Verify My Account?
You might now be asking yourself this question saying this is crypto,why want to know my identity.You are right to ask this question,i will briefly explain below as quoted from Trade.io website
To maintain regulatory compliance in the jurisdictions we are licensed to trade in requires that we receive documentation of identity on withdrawals from all users on our platform
Trade.io operates under the law which requires them to know the identity of the people or accounts withdrawing money from the platform! I guess this is self explanatory folks!
I know many people feel bad about this procedure of KYC me inclusive,but it is for the betterment of all of us,the individual and the company we deal with to comply with the laws of the state!
How do I upload the documents?
The KYC (Know Your Customer) documents can be uploaded by clicking the Profile link on the top header menu. Once on the profile screen you will see the document upload area under your profile info. You can see the image below where it says upload new document.

What KYC Documents are Accepted?
There are two types pf accounts on the Trade.io Exchange;Individual and Institutional. The required documents for each type of account differ as shown below.
This means that you choose the appropriate KYC depending on your account type.
KYC for Individual Account
- Government issued picture ID (Passport, Citizen Card, etc)
- A selfie holding the government issued ID.
- Form A(which will be provided on the website)
- Proof of Residence
These below are the accepted Proof of residence(because all of this have your residence in them!)
- Bank statement
- Credit card statement
- Tax assessment
- Phone, television or Internet bill
- Energy provider bill
- Mortgage statement
- Certificate of voter registration
- Correspondence between you and a government authority
You can obviously use one of these above,but they should bear a First name,Surname,Current Address and Date (must not be older than 3 months)
KYC for Institutions
- Government issued picture ID (Passport, Citizen Card, etc
- A selfie holding the government issued ID
- Forms B, D and K
- Proof of Residence
- Proof of Corporate entity (Scan or copy of a company document from commercial register, notarized founding documents)
