The preparation of land is defined as an operation that changes the mechanical shape of the soil using certain land-use implements for the purpose of creating a suitable soil condition for plant growth. Implement for land preparation means the equipment installed to the tractor for the purpose of performing land preparation. Soil preparation involves working such as breaking hard soil layer, cutting and overlapping topsoil, breaking or shrinking the size of clay soil, making crops bed and weeds control. Implements classes are usually based on the purpose of the use, the implemented action or style to the ground during operation and the impact on the ground being worked on. Thus, the following class is used in that is divided into the main implements and the secondary implements.

The main implements are used to break down and loosen the hard soil layer without buried plant residues on the ground and provide suitable land surface for subsequent land preparation by secondary implants.

The use of the secondary implements is to breaks down soil size of the ground chunks. it also flattens and strips the soil layer on the ground and makes the boundary for the plant. Additionally, it can also be used to store the seedlings that have been planted in the plant hole, and it can also be used to make fertilizer and to cut the remaining crops and also provide a layer of top soil.

Connecting Implements to Tractors

Types of Implement Connection:

i) Drawbar - use for attaching implement for big wheeled type, not many large scale implement are used except the trailers

ii) 3 Point Linkage - works to connect a simple medium implement where the implements load can be fully covered by the tractor. implements can be lifted or dropped using the tractor hydraulic system

iii) 2 Point Linkage -is used to connect large, long-sized implements and have rear wheels that can accommodate some of its own load. The method is still using the three point-point device where only the right bottom connector and the left carry connector are used. both lower connectors will accommodate and lift parts of the implements at the front of the implements while the back of the implements are borne by the wheel of the implement
