Orjinal adı "Le violon rouge " olan 1998 yılı İngiltere, İtalya, Kanada ortak yapımı dram,müzikal,gizem ve romantizm türünde bir dönem filmidir.Film 17. yüzyılda İtalyan bir usta tarafından üretilen kemanın hikayesini anlatmaktadır. Kemanın hikayesiyle birlikte anlatılan insanların hikayeleri ise çarpıcıdır.Filmin başta tarot kartları ile seyirciye verilmek istenen ipuçları ayrıca gizem yaratmaktadır.Zamanda ileriye ve geriye dönüşler biraz baş döndürse de tam anlamıyla filme odaklanma isteği yaratıyor. Kırmızı Keman betimlemesindeki kırmızının gizemi ise filmin sonuna doğru ortaya çıkıp bizi daha da şaşırtıyor.
