Turkish Athletes - Ruhi Sarialp
At the 1948 Summer Olympics in London he represented Turkey in a three-step jump and won the bronze medal.
This medal was the only medal for Turkey in the athletics in the Olympics for 56 years from 2004 Summer Olympics to Eşref Apak's bronze medal in hammer throwing.
Sarialp also showed the same success in the 1950 European Athletics Championships in Brussels.
