The history of the Silk Road covers a period of approximately 1500 years. Since this was a very long time and the Silk Road was a route that went from very wide areas, it witnessed the establishment and destruction of many states and fulfilled their rule under the sovereignty of different states. But we can admit that it is among the ways in history that are considered "early roads" and that allow some precious minerals or other natural products to pass from one region to another, from one tribe to another. It would not be wrong to say that at least it has stayed in this status for a long time. It can be considered that a new turn has taken place after the relations, negotiations and conflicts between the states on the route have increased.

During the period between the 5th and 8th centuries, important events such as the development of such relations, the rise of the great empires and the establishment of smaller states, the migration of tribes led to the change of the way of seeing the Silk Road and its geopolitical importance. This geopolitical importance and the use of the trade route gradually diminished in the following period: during times of Mongolian invasions it became prevalent at times such as the 13th century, and although its use increased, it was not a highly preferred route due to the high taxes imposed by the Arabs. The beginning of the Portuguese trade with China in the 16th century also reduced the significance of the Silk Road. With the recent use of petroleum resources and old trade routes with tourism purposes, it has begun to gain importance again.

Silk, spice, paper, porcelain and gemstone trade made with Silk Road channel made it possible to exchange intercultural and cultural exchange.

About this road Herodot's BC Thanks to the notes of 430, we are acquiring information. Herodotus says that this plane goes as far as Kansu, the western province of China. According to him, the starting point of this road is the place where the frozen river turns into the sea. This road is curled to the north before reaching the lands where the Partis lived in the east. From there it is used both by the camel caravans heading to the north of the Thiins and through the Turfan and Hami to the province of Kansu.
