Tulpar
Tulpr is a winged horse in the turkish mythology. It is similar to Pegasus.
These flying winged athletes are mentioned in the Kyrgyz Manas Epic. The name of Tulpar is in Turkish, Kyrgyz and Altay mythologies. It is usually depicted as a white or black (single color) horse.
It has white wings and was created by Kuday (God) to help the valiant. Legendary horses are said to have run fast in the wind with the wings of Manas' famous warriors in the world's longest legendary manas saga.
Başkurt beliefs that no one can see their wings.
Tulpar opens its wings only in the dark, crossing major obstacles and distances. If anyone can see the wings of Tulpar, it is believed that Tulpar will disappear.
The name Tulpar lives not only in Turks but also in neighboring Avar, Lak, Andi, Dargish and Tabasaran languages. Tolpars in the Ossetians and Turpal in the Chechens.
