Turkey Aesop was an ancient Greek poet of fables and allegories who probably dated back to the 6th century BC. Lived. He is considered the founder of the European fable seal, and so his name became the generic name for the fable seal ever. There are many legends around Aesop's life, many of which were already in circulation, as in the second half of the 5th century BC. Chr.

The written tradition to his person began. Secured information about his biography is therefore hardly available. Although the Aesop novel, compiled in the early Roman Empire, offers numerous details about his travels to important kings like Kroisos of Lydia and about his physical decites (he was very ugly and mute at first), he is clearly legendary in character. As origin Aesops Thrace (West Turkey) is given, in later sources also Phrygia, Lydia (West Lich of Anatolia). After the name Aisopos on a Greek inscription of the 6th century BC. From the Black Sea region, he probably came from Thrace.
