1- MANTI

It's a meat stuffed dumpling, which is also called Turkish ravioli. It is being served with sauces and yoghurt.

2- Iskender

It's a kind of döner kebab prepared from thinly cut grilled lamb basted with hot tomato sauce over pieces of pita bread and generously slathered with melted sheep butter and yogurt.

3- Kumpir

Kumpir starts with a giant baked potato being sliced from the middle, and to be made a softer and more smooth ground, it's assisted by cheese and butter. Then you have all those mixed ingredients, which could almost be anything. Vegetables, meat, corn, pickles etc.

It is prepared by carefully cleaning the intestines of young lamb. The intestines are then wrapped around a thick skewer and grilled over a charcoal fire.

Çiğ köfte literally translates as raw meatballs. However, due to regulations about selling raw meat in Turkey, it is now completely vegetarian. Instead of using traditional beef or lamb, the meat has been replaced by finely ground bulgar wheat. But still, as what I hear, there are still some places illegally trying to sell the actual cigkofte.

Cigkofte could be served as a wrap, or in a plate, with some sauces and lettuce. It is considered a light and a healthy food. This fact makes it enough for most women to like it!
