The Pink 1969 VW Combi is worth $72000, that is if you can take the price paid on an auction for this toy as its value. It is mind-boggling that a toy like the one in the picture can be so valuable. (And people can't understand where the value of Steem comes from)
Why is this toy so valuable? This car is a prototype, made in 1969. It however never made it into production. As can be seen the surfboard is loaded through the back window. The toy that was finally produced, had the surfboard on the side.
Apparently there is a second car in existence, but this cannot be verified.
I think I am now going to scratch in the box with my old toys, maybe I have that elusive second car!!

Luckily my mom still has most of me and my sisters' childhood toys from the 80's and early 90's. I make sure she keeps them for our retirement fund!
