Botanical garden

Now is the time to spend time in nature, enjoying its beauty. So today I want to talk about the Botanical garden in Kiev. After all, wherever in the Botanical garden, you can fully enjoy the colors of summer?!!
Botanical garden. N. N. Grishko of NAS of Ukraine occupies a vast territory of about 170 hectares.

Plus the garden has a very advantageous location, first, because near the center, and secondly, here is located next to Kiev-Pechersk shop and Museum of the great Patriotic war. So, if you have the time, and most importantly force you will be able to visit these places.

The uniqueness of this place is that here you can find a rare collection of tropical and subtropical plants.

Also here you will be able to see the vegetation of the Ukrainian steppes and forests of the Carpathians and the Crimea. But that's not all, because also here are the flora of the Caucasus, the Far East, Central Asia, Altai and Western Siberia.

All the garden is divided into conditional parts with the representation of the plant world of a particular locality, and various kinds of plants: conifers, fruit, legumes, maple, nuts and so on. Only in the garden for more than 25 zones with different exhibits.

Among them also 4 gardens: rose garden, lilac garden, Magnolia garden and the so-called rock garden.

Not to say that the garden presents more than 180 different peonies, both Ukrainian and foreign origin.

Very interesting to visit the Botanical garden part of the labyrinth of climbing plants — lianas.

In the greenhouse complex you can get acquainted with the expositions of the plant world of the tropics and subtropics: tropical forest, orchidarium, various types of cacti, as well as fruit plants.

Here you can also find a piece of Korea. In 2012 the Ukrainian government has invited the Republic of Korea to establish in its territory a Botanical garden, Korean traditional garden, in sustaining friendly relations between the two countries.

Here was built a unique pavilion, the analogue of which were Korean kings, the gates and the wall in the traditional Korean style.
Very unusual to see this structure in Ukrainian Botanical gardens.
In the garden is really very beautiful. The interesting thing is that whatever time you get here, you will be able to see the beauty of the flowering.

Here can be informative and have a good time, so all the advice.

By the way, the whole day is not enough to get around and carefully examine the entire area, so I advise to come here more than once. No matter how many times you come here, you will definitely find something new, something that is not met.

Now a little about the organizational issues:

The national Botanical garden. N. N. Grishko is open to visitors: may — August from 8:30 to 21:00, September — April from 8:00 to dusk.

The greenhouse complex is open daily from 10:00 to 16:00, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 17:00.
Weekend in the garden — Monday, Tuesday.

Getting here is quite easy because the garden is near the centre. The address where is located garden: Kyiv city, Timiryazevskaya street, 1.
You can get here from the station "Pecherska" metro station by bus No. 62 or trolleybus 14 till stop "Botanical garden".
