La Quebrada: Trujillo village, cradle of artists.

Located at 25 Kilometers from the city of Valera, Trujillo State, the town of La Quebrada, is full of history and beautiful mountain landscapes around it, with a temperature of 17 degrees Celsius and hospitable people, is an excellent destination to visit if you are walking through this Andean state.

Originated by the arrival of Italian immigrants, the Quebrada is a town dedicated economically to agriculture and tourism. One of the main things that makes it attractive, is that in its vicinity pieces of clay belonging to indigenous people of the pre-Columbian period have been found.

If you arrive in town on a Sunday, you will have the opportunity to witness a great influx of people everywhere, as if it were a fair, but the truth is that they are only merchants who will sell and buy merchandise, in addition to people close to the population that are going to visit their relatives.

Remember to visit the village church in honor of San Roque, a saint of French origin dedicated to the care of the poor, and from which you can appreciate an image inside the temple.

As you walk through the town, in addition to the typical colonial houses, you will see great mountains resulting in a view worthy of a postcard.

After you know the church, visit Plaza Bolivar, which with its tall pines and benches, becomes a quiet place to rest or enjoy the atmosphere of La Quebrada.
